How to Volunteer

Gleanings offers a variety of service opportunities through hands on participation, committees, advisory, distribution, as well as on-site.

Gleanings programs offer opportunities to assist children, elderly, working poor, shut-ins, and people with disabilities.

Programs

Angel Food Box Program (AFBP):

Volunteers will assist with monthly distribution of food boxes on site.

Client Choice Food Program (CCFP):

Volunteers will assist with overseeing daily distribution on-site, restocking of shelves with food, personal hygiene, and cleaning supplies. Hours available: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-Noon and 1:00-5:00 PM.  Minimum two-hour commitments are appreciated.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program (GRGP):

Volunteers will assist with monthly distribution of food boxes; some help make deliveries to those who are shut-in or do not have transportation. Hours available are Saturdays 8:00 AM-Noon.

Gleanings Receiving / Distribution Organization (GRGO):

Volunteers will assist with receiving, packaging, distribution of food, personal hygiene, and cleaning supplies. Hours available as needed, normally 8:00 AM-Noon and 1:00-5:00 PM.
